Suzanne infuses her work with the spirit of possibility, creativity, and mutual understanding.

Suzanne Aptman, MBA, is a professional leadership coach, trainer, facilitator and program director. Over the last 15-plus years, she has helped thousands of professionals to enhance their leadership and communication skills, enrich their working relationships, resolve conflicts, uncover strengths and hidden potential and build cultures that embrace diversity. Suzanne also uses her experience as a performer to help clients tap into their own creativity and build presence and her management background to align with client challenges.

She has designed and/or delivered workshops, team-building and strategic planning retreats, consulting and coaching for corporations, small businesses, non-profits and universities, including: Pfizer, Prudential, American Express, Tiffany, Shiseido, Deloitte, Regeneron, Celgene, Etsy, Campbells, David Yurman, New York University, Columbia Business School, Boston Consulting Group, Reuters Thomson, Brown Brothers Harriman, Swiss Reinsurance, Montefiore Hospital, A&E Networks, New York Times, and Cornell University. She also worked as Director of Learning & Development for a program serving high achieving young professionals with disabilities to build leadership abilities and successful careers in top corporations. She is an Executive Coach with Columbia Business School's Leadership Lab and a Faculty Development Coach with the NYU Stern Center for Teaching Excellence.

 

Suzanne works with communities on youth inclusion, leadership and empowerment as a Facilitator with the non-profits, The Anti-Defamation League and Girls Leadership. She designed and led a week-long summer camp for youth to build leadership and socio-emotional skills through theater-based activities and has co-directed two school musicals. Suzanne has also designed and led many environmental stewardship, eco-literacy and mindfulness programs for local youth.

Suzanne has served her community as an organizer, campaign director and advocate on local and state-wide initiatives related to environmental health and protection and is currently Co-Chair of the Environmental Commission for her local government, helping to lead her town's environmental protection and sustainability efforts.

 

Education & Training

​

She received her MBA from Columbia Business School, her leadership coach training from the ICF-accredited Corporate Coach University and her advanced coach training, in relationship and organizational systems, from the Coaches Training Institute and her mediation/conflict resolution training with the NY Peace Institute and Center for Non-Violent Communication. Suzanne is a certified Mind Gym corporate coach and facilitator.

 

She holds a BA from Tufts University and certificates in teaching mindfulness in schools and educating youth for sustainability. Earlier in her career, she studied acting with the Michael Howard Conservatory, the Atlantic Theater Company, and performed with the Black Moon Theater company and in several off, off Broadway productions.
